About me
Catharina Felke combines digital research, data and Freedom of Information Act requests to report on environmental pollution and social injustice, among other things. She was part of the “Forever Pollution Project”, which revealed the extent of environmental pollution caused by the chemicals PFAS across Europe for the first time as well as the follow-up investigation "Forever Lobbying Project". Catharina lived in New York City until she joined the investigative desk at German Public Broadcasting NDR/ARD. There she was part of the "Voter Access Team", along with PBS Frontline and USA Today, whose coverage of the 2020 US election was honored with a George Foster Peabody Award. Prior to that, she completed the Lede Program in Data Journalism at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
