While data journalists in newsrooms are now more the norm rather than the exception, there are more people with other professional profiles now working alongside journalists: lawyers, architects, scientific researchers, computer engineers, impact managers... and people with other particular skills and expertise.

How do different types of newsrooms and media organisations deal with and work to benefit from the fact that they have become increasingly interdisciplinary in the last years?

Join this session to hear about the diverse paths and experiences of different types of newsrooms: The Guardian, Lighthouse Reports and Reporters United.

And be ready to share your own ideas and experiences, so that we all can leave with an informative overview of how different organisations deal with interdisciplinarity; the opportunities, challenges and lessons learnt; and practical tips about how to benefit from working in professionally diverse teams.
