About me
Chris Matthews is the investigations editor of Investigate Europe, a cross-border investigative journalism consortium. Previously, he worked on climate investigations for an environmental nonprofit, with a particular focus on commodity-driven deforestation and global supply chains. He reported from several countries across Africa as a freelance journalist with his work published by The Guardian, BBC and Vice, among others. He has also worked with an international human rights organisation, where he worked on research, data and communication projects, and led a series of Freedom of Information Act investigations.
