About me
Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO) is a research and campaign group working to expose and challenge the privileged access and influence enjoyed by corporations and their lobby groups in EU policy making.
As part of the CEO Environmental Justice team, I focus in my research on corporate lobby strategy and tactics by notably the agribusiness companies on issues like pesticides, biodiversity, seeds, and chemicals. I also look at cross-cutting issues such as the manipulation of science, involvement of 'public' research institutes in lobbying, attempts to weaken legal principles like the Precautionary Principle by pushing an 'innovation principle', etc.
I find it particularly important to take into account the intricate links between for instance like climate and biodiversity and address the highly uneven attention for one compared to the other; as well as 'black holes', issues that nobody looks at because of lacking expertise or capacity.
