Daniel Howden is a senior editor at Refugees Deeply. A contributor to the Economist and the Guardian, he was previously the Africa correspondent and deputy foreign editor at the Independent.
Working on EU migration policy and how it affects countries of transit and origin. Special interests include returns and deportations of asylum seekers and migrants. Also working on a project on missing migrants in the Sahara.
